With FREE ADMISSION and 2 for $2 snacks/drinks, our monthly movie night is quite popular with the Headingley community. Kids usually bring a blanket/pillow or something to lay on and gather with friends as the adults sit behind them in chairs provided. An inexpensive family outing that will be sure to please everyone.

HEADINGLEY WINTER CARNIVAL   FEBRUARY 5-12, 2017

This year, our Headingley Winter Carnival ceremoniously kicks off Headingley’s 25th and Canada’s 150th celebrations. Family fun events have been planned throughout the week and include activities such as snowman and snow/ice sculpture competition, jam pail curling, alumni and old timer’s hockey games, community pancake breakfast, kids crafts, cardboard box sleigh race and more. Hockey

Home to the Phoenix Flames!

Headingley has a vibrant hockey program and is a member club of the Assiniboine Park Hockey Association (APHA).
The club is home to two outdoor rinks and hockey hutch.
We offer hockey programs to girls and boys.
All hockey programming is administered by our Phoenix Recreation Association Hockey Convenors, Gerry Munday and Rob Bell.

After School Program

The Phoenix Recreation Association is currently developing an after school program that will promote outdoor play. This program will be offered to grade 1-5 students who live in Headingley, MB. The goals of the  program are to increase physical activity levels in the after school period, develop participants’ outdoor and leadership skills, and foster a stronger connection with the natural world.

Please Note: THIS PROGRAM IS SLATED FOR A FALL 2017 START.

Parent Information Night will take place on May 1st!

Nursery School

Have a child in need of preschool? Looking to add to your 3-5 year old’s learning? Want to get your kids out for some socialisation? Phoenix Nursery  is the perfect place for children to get their first introduction to structured learning and play!

Program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30am-11:30am. Choose from going 2 days a week (Tuesday/Thursday) or 3 days a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday).

HELLO HEADINGLEY!

Welcome to the Phoenix Recreation Association website! So, who are we? The Phoenix Recreation Association (PRA) is an organization made up entirely of volunteers who implement and maintain recreational and social activities for the residents of Headingley, Manitoba. Programs include: hockey, baseball, softball, Phoenix Nursery School and monthly Movie Nights. Large events such as the Headingley Winter Carnival and Halloween Howl are major fundraisers for the PRA. The funds raised go towards the maintenance of existing programs and creation of new ones for the community!

Want to help out? We’re always look for volunteers! Whether you wan to serve on the board, coach or dedicate some time to making our events awesome, we’d love to have your help! Contact any of our board members for more info!
